Today is the day StatPro launches the “Private Beta” of its new product StatPro Revolution. The product is focused at the Front Office of asset managers, i.e. fund managers, salesmen, analysts, client support and relationship managers. StatPro Revolution can compute performance, attribution and risk and a host of other things. Getting a portfolio up and working is a matter of minutes and thereafter easy to update. Because it is a multi-tenant web service there is no deployment and this saves a huge amount of time for clients. It is also affordable for even the smallest asset manager as we sell the service on a per portfolio basis. So from just $100 per portfolio per month you can have access to amazing analysis covering nearly 500,000 different assets. Even better, it is completely free during the testing phase.

Over 40 people have signed up to give it a trial so far and in the coming months we hope that many more will join the testing phase. If everything goes according to plan (and it has so far) we should launch the live version in January 2011. We will be adding new features every 2 to 4 weeks to the product so early adopters will see significant enhancements.

The whole project started in early 2007 with the concept and the planning phase lasting 15 months. We started developing the service in earnest in October 2008 and now, just 18 months later, we can see that vision realised. The development team have done a brilliant job as have the data team. The next stage is to see what the market thinks of the new service and how we can improve it.
