Panelists

Jon Gezotis

Director of Fund Services Product Management at Citi

Jon Gezotis is a Director of Product Management for Citi’s Middle Office and Fund Services business in North America.  In his role Jon is responsible for the strategy of the businesses inclusive of all commercial oversight, the innovative direction for the business, and operational enhancements.  His scope ranges from the progress and use of new robotics to establishing strategic vendor partnerships, all to deliver on industry demands and meet client needs.  He also oversees all new business opportunities and has legal and commercial responsibility of the businesses in North America.  

Prior to his current role, Jon worked at JP Morgan for 15 years where he held several positions within Operations, Client Management, and Product Management for the North American region of the Fund Services business.  This experience covered most back-office services including Fund Accounting, Administration, Financial Reporting and Transfer Agency oversight.   Jon began his career at Brown Brothers Harriman where he worked in Fund Services.  

Jon has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University and holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University, where he currently teaches several classes as a graduate level TA.

Christy Carroll

Head of Info Delivery and Fund Admin at BNY Mellon

Christine Carroll is a Director at BNY Mellon, where she leads the Accounting Information Delivery & Fund Administration function for BNY Mellon Asset Servicing. Her primary responsibilities center around the delivery and enhancement of digital capabilities for clients; specifically focused on the development of digital roadmaps, understanding client needs and consulting on potential solutions. As part of her remit, Christine also manages the function’s digital experience; where she helps clients with digital adoption, rollout, and data integration needs.

Before taking on her current role, Christine oversaw Asset Servicing Digital Solutions, where she led the business design and prioritization of new digital services, and the transformation of existing services into BNY Mellon’s NEXEN portal. As part of her responsibilities, she also consulted clients on the development of their digital strategies— and supported the development of new APIs, dashboards and data integration to meet their specific needs. Christine began her career with BNY Mellon in 2013 as a product manager for BNY Mellon’s accounting platforms, where she was responsible for strategic product development of fund accounting and investment accounting, supporting product expansion based on client and market requirements. She has led business requirements and strategy implementation for large middle-office and fund accounting relationships, as well as Eagle and middle office technology products for operational scalability and information delivery.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Christine worked at Brown Brothers Harriman, where she ran the product team for Fund Accounting and Administration. Her previous experience also includes several roles in client service and implementation at Fidelity Investments and State Street, where she supported pension funds, separately managed accounts, endowments, and family offices.

In recognition for her contributions to BNY Mellon, Christine was one of seventeen employees selected within BNY Mellon to participate in the US Army Staff Ride in 2019, which was held in Normandy, France to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Participants in the program visit historical war sites to learn how examples of military leadership and critical decision-making processes can be implemented in today’s corporate world.

Christine earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.

Gary Casagrande

Vice President of Global Market Strategy at Confluence

As Vice President of Global Market Strategy, Gary is responsible for overseeing market research analysis and developing and delivering marketing and messaging to support Confluence’s growth. Gary has more than 27 years of experience in the financial services industry with an in-depth understanding of mutual fund operations, technology, regulations, project management and quality control. Before joining Confluence, he held the position of Head of Financial Reporting and Expense Administration at BBH. Prior to that, he served as the Head of the Treasury and Portfolio Compliance group at JP Morgan. Gary has a bachelor’s degree from Bryant University in Business Administration with a focus in Finance.
