Compliance dates are strict. Speed juggling of priorities takes up a lot of my day. Plus, writing and presenting on a niche-but-global topic.
I work with over 100 jurisdictions, worldwide. We have a small but mighty best practices team; our job is to interpret the effect of new regulations, which have been seriously ramping up this past decade. We start preparing well before any new one comes into practice. There’s a lot of reading, a lot of complexity.
I was born in Greece, I’m now based in the Netherlands, and this job involves travel too. I love meeting and learning from new people, particularly at conferences, where we dig down deep into complex issues. And the translation is fun too, explaining the real-world effects of a new rule to our clients, and to the product people here at Confluence.
