Karen Brownlee

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Karen Brownlee is the chief legal officer for Confluence. In her role, she is responsible for legal aspects of the Confluence global operation. Accordingly, she serves as legal advisor to the sales and product development functions, as well as the company’s risk management officer and corporate secretary.

Brownlee joined Confluence in July of 2000 and has 20 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Confluence, she served as Corporate Counsel for Federated Investors, Inc., one of the US’ largest mutual fund complexes, where she provided legal counsel to Federated’s offshore operations, international investment adviser and compliance department.

Brownlee earned a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
